Mareik had slowly made his way to the courtyard, exsauhsted from the night before. He had been running all night after doing over three dozen laps around that cursed complex. Burn that man, Mareik hissed in his head. In truth he had done as Malik ordered,
"If you want to be a Child of the Light, you’ll start running. Running around this complex. Run until I say stop, or you collapse. Either way, I will know whether you are worthy of serving the Light. Now move!” His words still echoeing inside Mareiks head. He had done as he ordered, he ran and ran, right after there encounter and straight threw the night. He didn't know when he passed out, but he remembered the sun just starting to come up before he did, only to be awakened by a Whitecloak from a hard kick in his side.
It was noon now. When he awoke, he had a throbbing headache, could hardly feel his legs and was more tired then he had ever been in his life."Well, you wanted to be a Whitecloak" He said to himself. Mareik sat against the wall now, stiffing a yawn and almost passed out once again. Mareik hated not being able to concentrate, he didn't blame Malik for what he ordered. He liked to test a mans character, well, he got the full blow of that test. He laughed in spite of himself. He needed to think clearly. Mareik slowly stood up, it took him until the forth try before he could stand successfully, his legs wobbled and felt like they would give way at any moment. Mareik unsheathed his swords and stood, deep in thought he focused. There is no pain, there is fatigue, there is only rage, and threw rage there is strength. Mareik closed his eyes and.......Darkness surrounded him, and he blocked and shredded all emotions except anger and rage. All pain and tiredness slowly but reluctantly disappeared. Mareik slowly made his way threw the dual sword forms, nothing difficult, simple and easy, which allowed focus and concentration. Mareik continued over and over again, asking himself a hundred questions in his mind at once. What to do.......
